ELM Compliance Consultants are a Guernsey based business who offer compliance consultancy services to the regulated, non-regulated and prescribed business sectors in the Channel Islands, and beyond.
Their website was outdated, using older technology & trends, and their brand needed a refresh.
We got to work on a new brand for ELM Compliance, presenting them with various options around font style, colours & iconography.
With the brand created & approved, the next stage was to create a colour palette for the project, and to utilise this in designing & developing a cross-device-pleasing website.
We decided on a bold & stark contrast style layout using a colour palette that would fit well with our newly created brand, using these accent colours throughout the design to highlight different elements.
We wanted to make sure we grabbed the users attention from the start of their experience on the ELM Compliance website, by implementing:
As you scroll down the page of this website, the content really does tend to ‘pop’. The accent colours are in full effect in conjunction with the bold heading styles and clear typography, calls to action draw your gaze and the imagery fits just right within it all.
Icons, icons, icons.
We love iconography. No longer does a title or description have to stand alone in the daunting open landscape of W H I T E S P A C E . You can now add a visual aid to compliment it & drive a point home.
More instances of the lovely colour palette we put together for ELM Compliance, in tandem with more iconography AND a very UI-friendly section to expand/collapse the Services that they provide 😉
Did you know what users are browsing more on mobile devices than on desktop in 2024? (See the numbers here)
With this in mind, the clean & space conscious (we do love consistent spacing) design of the ELM Compliance website lends itself very well to mobile scaling, without having to compromise any of the original design features available on the desktop view.
Lastly, did you know that there’s a way of seeing how your website measures up against modern performance standards?
Google Lighthouse looks at your website and generates a report based on important website performance metrics. This browser add-on provides invaluable feedback for developers when trying to optimise a clients website, making sure it performs well in every possible way! Suffice to say, the ELM Compliance website performs quite well 😉
