2014 was certainly a busy year for Team Crowd, so we thought we’d review just a few of our highlights.
Training became an essential part of Crowd’s service offering in 2014. We launched Crowd Training to help organisations better understand the digital arena and future proof their business, including global brands like Specsavers. This included working alongside the GTA University Centre, a local organisation who are at the forefront of island education and professional development.
We’re also thrilled to have started working with the leading insurer Insurance Corporation Channel Islands, on their new Channel Island digital marketing strategy. This included live reporting in Jersey from the Durrell Inter-Island Environmental Conference. We will continue to work closely with ICCI on their digital strategy in 2015, and will be promoting their massive community support programmes.
Also launched in 2014 was the new website for Guernsey Chamber of Commerce – a comprehensive website allowing individuals and businesses to apply for membership online and submit their own news & events – improving Chamber’s digital presence and awareness. Crowd were awarded the win after a comprehensive pitch process. The project also included email marketing and in house training for the Chamber office staff.
“The team at Crowd produced a first class website for Guernsey Chamber of Commerce which exceeded all our expectations. After many months of hard work we now have a fully interactive website that we, and our members, are proud of that provides our members with increased representation and communication with their Chamber. Since the launch the aftercare support provided has been efficient, fast and honest. We have had fantastic feedback and our membership is growing with more and more people applying online.” – Barry Cash, Director.
In the latter part of 2014 we were excited to continue working with The Market Place as they became one of the first retailers in Guernsey to embrace the Instagram community as part of their digital comms mix. Instagram is a perfect platform for local retailers, and the accompanying #MyMarket competition brought in plenty of user-generated photography from around the The Market Place over the festive period. Further consumer outreach programmes and competitions are planned for 2015.
We have two new services being launched in the first quarter of 2015; Integrated PR programmes around event promotion (we understand how to embrace the “before, during and after” approach like no other business locally), and a special service aimed at Directors/Shareholders, which will see Jo working with clients at Board Level on the subject of digital transformation (we’re making her do it because she has convinced even the most determined of Luddites to embrace change!) and why technology should be understood by everyone within the senior DMU.
Jo continues in her role as Vice-President of the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce and has recently been appointed as a Trustee of The Town Centre Partnership. Our Team grew with the addition of Olly Browning, who brings the invaluable skills and insights of a true digital native. We’ve also worked with inspiring and creative teams of freelancers on island, and will continue to bolster our skill set with these hand picked specialists.
We’d like to extend thanks to all of our clients, friends, professional partners and colleagues we met in 2014. We hope you stick with us for the future and we wish you all peace and good wishes for a dynamic 2015.
Happy New Year!
Team Crowd
